Have you ever thought about the little things?
The bells and whistles that create little rings?
The bird outside that always sings?
The water on the window that always clings?

Every day the world continues to turn.
We don't appreciate the common fern.
We don't appreciate how wood does burn.
When will we come to finally learn?

These little things won't last forever.
We won't think of this, not now, not ever.
Calamity may strike and you'll find however,
That everyone will care no matter whomever.

So have you ever though about any little thing?
The bells and whistles will cease to ring.
The bird outside will nevermore sing.
The water on the window will never cling.

The little things,
have broken strings.
